BETHESDA, MD – Wednesday, July 10, 2018 – Precision Medicine Group, Inc., announced it is acquiring ETHOS Health Communications, a Pennsylvania-based agency specializing in the interpretation and communication of innovative medical science. The acquisition of ETHOS, which informs physicians, providers and other stakeholders through medical affairs and marketing based scientific content, allows Precision to offer its clients a significantly expanded cadre of doctoral-level science and medical communications specialists.
Over its 15+ year operating history, ETHOS has established itself as an authority in understanding and translating the science of medicine into both high-level strategy and tactical execution. With a track record of long-tenured relationships with major bio-pharmaceutical companies and leading biotechnology firms, ETHOS has established a leadership position in the delivery of strategic scientific and medical communications and training solutions.
Commenting on the acquisition of ETHOS, Precision Medicine Group CEO Mark Clein explains, “As medical innovations become increasingly complex, the demand for clarity, insight and compelling communications becomes a fundamental success factor for drug developers seeking to convey the medical and economic benefits of their products. With ETHOS, these developers can better translate their science to the multiple constituents that prescribe, utilize, regulate and insure their products. With this addition, Precision has enhanced our proficiency in demonstrating the clinical value of medical innovations throughout the entire development and commercial lifecycle.”
With more than 120 employees, including over 40 with doctoral degrees in science, ETHOS is headquartered in Yardley, PA and is led by co-founder and president Anita O’Connor, who will join the leadership team of Precision Value & Health. O’Connor adds, “We are very happy to be joining the Precision family and partnering with other Precision teams to provide the highest level of expertise to help our clients achieve their objectives and to bring the best science and medicine to patients and healthcare professionals. Our company culture and mission align very closely with Precision’s, and we are very excited about the added value we can now offer both existing and new clients.”
Fairmount Partners, a leading investment bank worldwide for pharmaceutical, device and related services businesses, acted as exclusive financial advisor to ETHOS. Neal McCarthy, Managing Director of Fairmount Partners, commented “we loved working with Anita O’Connor and her wonderful and talented team, and are pleased to have introduced them to the Precision Medicine Group: the fit between these two businesses, their complementary skills and commitment to excellence will enable them to provide superior service to their clients and continue to drive success.”
