W. CONSHOHOCKEN, PA – November 2, 2009 – American Hospital Service Group, Inc. (“AHSG”), a professional healthcare staffing organization, was acquired today by Chenega Corporation. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
AHSG was founded in 1992 and is one of the largest private healthcare staffing organizations in the US, providing nearly 700 healthcare professionals to hospitals and medical facilities across the continental U.S., Hawaii, Alaska and overseas. The company provides a broad array of healthcare professionals including physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, physical therapists, psychologists, physician assistants, and allied healthcare professionals.
AHSG’s reputation for timely, cost-effective, and high-quality performance has resulted in it being a key awardee of multiple long-term contracts for staffing US military facilities, including the United States Army, United States Air Force, United States Navy and US Marine Corps.
